Dental Rehabilitation with PRP
Here at Comfy Smile Dental, we have incorporated the use of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) into your dental treatments to advance the healing process and enhance your recovery.
Drs. Cortes or Prieto will take a small sample of your plasma which is known to help improve your healing and eliminate the risk for future infection. Learn more about PRP/PRF therapy below.
What is the PRP Process?
The entire process is quick and easy, helping make your visit more convenient and stress-free. The PRP process begins when we draw a small sample of your blood before your dental procedure.
After the blood sample has processed and we’ve completed your treatment, we’ll apply the platelet-rich plasma to the surgical site. The PRP/PRF will activate your body’s natural growth agents and stem cells which help reduce clotting and accelerate your healing process.
PRP/PRF Candidacy
Platelet-rich plasma or fibrin is a great way for patients to recover from their dental procedure quickly and with little to no pain. If you’re in need of a tooth extraction, dental implant surgery, or a bone or tissue graft, then PRP is right for you.
If you typically have trouble healing from any type of procedure, then PRP/PRF is an effective way to help your body properly do so. When you visit our Davie office for your consultation, our team can discuss your candidacy with you.
